Nails by Neat is looking to hire a passionate, genuine and professional individual who is a licensed Nail Technician for our quickly expanding nail salon team. 

We want to partner with someone that carries a strong interest in providing an elevated experience for guests as well as operating in and maintaining a calm atmosphere. They must be eager to be a part of a team of nail techs as well as a growing small business.

We immediately wish to find the right Indianapolis-based candidates for both full-time and part-time paid positions. Hours are flexible within 8:00am - 8:00 pm Tues-Sun.  

About Nails By Neat:

Based in the near-east side neighborhood of downtown Indianapolis, Nails By Neat is a destination for customer focused, modern nail services. Our services are designed to emphasize good communication between the client and the provider leaving room for creativity and quality. We have created a space to highlight the comfort of BOTH the nail technicians and the guests. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be available to accept basic manicure and pedicure services as part of your schedule

• Incorporate sterilization and organization into your routine with every service

• Collaborate with the rest of the team in maintaining a clean environment, both back and front of the salon

• Adhere to our relaxed uniform

• Warmly greet guests to the space when available

• Communicate with the clients on your schedule, if necessary, about any appointment changes/notifications 

• Audit schedule weekly and shift appointments (if possible) to open up new availability

• Utilize the booking system to accurately reflect your daily appointments, breaks and transaction

Qualifications

• Passion for the nail industry on both a creative and technical level

• Licensed by the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology

• Ideal candidate is proficient with a basic gel polish manicure and is either knowledgeable in additional product (such as Gel-X, soft gels) or willing to learn/expand 

• Must be fully aware of and follow state board sanitation rules

• Professional and positive demeanor

• Comfortable with balancing time and workload with each appointment and staying on schedule 

• Can maintain a fairly regular schedule week to week to promote returning clients booking out into the future

• Exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills to be used throughout services with clients (as well as with fellow Neat team members) with ability to develop professionally appropriate relationships with returning customers

• Comfortable/willing to work amongst a team in a shared environment1

The opening of Nails By Neat’s first public storefront is highly anticipated and comes with a large client waitlist. We have a rollout plan that will introduce you to a stream of new clients for you to begin building relationships with.
